How to get a Duplicate PAN Card ? |
Once the reason is confirmed we can start the procedure to apply for the duplicate PAN Card. Hence if its get lost, the procedure is mentioned below. We will discuss basic steps that we need to follow to apply for the duplicate card. The steps are as follows:

First step is to fill the correction or the change request form.

You can also get the hard copy of the form from any of the nearest branches of UTITSL, NSDL or I T department.

Then start filling up the information mentioned on the formlike your Permenant account number and other details. If you don’t remember your number then you just need to fill basic information like Date Of Birth, father’s name etc. Logon to the website https://incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in/knowpan/knowpan.jsp and the lost number will get displayed.

PAN Number is important because if we applying for the duplicate card then 10 digit alphanumeric number is must for the proof.

If you are Indian resident then follow the above points with upfront charges of Rs 94/-. If any NRI’s need to apply for the duplicate number then also there is no hassle. One can directly approach TIN facilitation center or UTITSL or NSDL. If you go through any consultant, then that will be better option in terms of future convenience as well.

Generally the processing takes 15–20 working days to reach onto the foreign address but if you apply for duplicate it may take 5-6 working days only.
